Male Pheasant

Surprisingly these birds originally came from Asia but have lived in Britain for hundreds of years They were brought as a game bird & are still used as such. However, many also live outside of breeding pens & are ground foragers, being found near woodlands, farm edges, parkland & in rural gardens.
