The Secretary Bird - SA

The Secretary Bird - SA - BIRDS & INSECTS
The unusual name is thought to come from the 1800's, when Europeans first spotted them. "Back then, male secretaries wore grey tailcoats & dark, knee length pants. They also used goose quill pens that they carried behind their ears. The bird has feathers that can be raised at the back of the head.
The Secretarybird hunts & catches prey on the ground, often stomping on victims , including snakes, with their long legs to kill them.
